Turkish army begins shelling villages in west Manbij

The Turkish army has began shelling villages west of Manbij, it has been reported on Monday evening.

According to ANHA reporters on the ground, Turkish soldiers and Turkish-backed gangs have began shelling the village Îlan, Sheikh Nasr and Qurtwêran.

Manbij city was liberated in August 12 during a campaign led by the Manbij Military Council and supported by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the YPG-YPJ forces.

After the liberation of Manbij from ISIS, the Turkish army began its occupation on the territory of Northern Syria.
