Kayla Jean Mueller

A dedicated member of the International Solidarity Movement who lost her life by ISIS barbaric acts…

In her loving memory !!

Reports have confirmed the ISIS killing of 26 year-old American aid worker Kayla Jean Mueller. A dedicated member of the International Solidarity Movement who previously assisted Palestinians and African refugees, she wrote a powerful passage in 2010 about the occupation of Hebron, that I believe could also ironically be applied to the regional fight AGAINST ISIS, the depraved group who kidnapped and killed her …

„Oppression greets us from all angles. Oppression wails from the soldier’s radio and floats through tear gas clouds in the air. But resistance is nestled in the cracks in the wall; resistance flows from the minaret five times a day and resistance sits quietly in jail knowing its time will come again. Resistance lives in the grieving mother’s wails and resistance lives in the anger at the lies broadcasted across the globe. Though it is sometimes hard to see and even harder sometimes to harbor, resistance lives. Do not be fooled, resistance lives.“ ― Kayla Jean Mueller, (2010)

Today her family also made public a poignant hand-written note which they received from their daughter during her 18-month captivity by ISIS, which read:

„I have been shown in darkness, light, plus have learned that even in prison, one can be free. I am grateful. I have come to see that there is good in every situation, sometimes we just have to look for it.“
